In this workshop shewill combine both the figure and collage. She says that Gustav Klimt is one of her main inspiration for this kind of effort... try Googling Klimt and you'll see why. She encourages everyone who is interested to plan on bringing materials found around the house for collage use and bring a figure drawing if you have one suitable for collage. Things like handmade paper, rice paper, pieces of silk or chiffon, even pieces of used clothing no longer wanted may be used. "Heartbreakers"

Watercolor by

Rose Moon

Rose Moon's "Creating Art from Your imagination"

Workshop Saturday April 17, 2010 10 AM - 4 PM, $40 at Yavapai College Bldg L, Room 103 Contact Wayne St. John if interested at 634-7427.

Rose Moon wrote regarding her background: I have a degree in Fine Art and Education from Texas A&M. I am a certified Clinical and Alchemical Hypnotherapist. Many of my ideas for paintings came from sessions I did with my clients. Symbols are important to this process and I encourage students find personal meaning to their own symbols and not to just take someone else's commonly assigned meaning. This will be a participatory workshop and students will go home with some techniques they can use on their own.

Materials: Bring whatever materials you wish to work in. Watercolor and paper, colored pencils or collage: photos or magazines, scissors and glue. I will bring some magazines. No oil paint or complicated slow drying media. Make sure paper is at least 11x15 or larger. Also bring your sketch books. We will only be working out ideas, not trying to complete a piece of finished work.
